Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Front Line Supervisor – Field Operations to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day field operations, including direct supervision of crews up to 30 personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of assigned crew of equipment operators
- Hiring, training, and development of craft personnel (Haul Truck Drivers, Drillers, Dozer Operators, Shovel/Excavator, Blade, Scraper, etc.)
- Establish daily job assignments, authorize time off requests, complete performance assessments, initiate disciplinary action and performance improvements
- Develop and maintain open communication with crews, field engineers/coordinators, Maintenance, Safety, and Quality
- Assist in preparing work plans and scheduling, determining manpower levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements
- Examine/inspect field conditions and troubleshoot problems, correct inaccuracies, and implement cost-saving measures
- Monitor and adhere to established budgetary guidelines for job and ensure that cost control measures are being followed
- Monitor job safety and provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel
- Monitor quality standards and ensure that technical specifications are being met
