Medical Interpreter

Job Summary: The Medical Interpreter provides high-quality interpretation services to patients and their families/caregivers with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and timely interpretation services for patients, family members, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain working knowledge of state and federal regulations related to LEP.
• Document interpretation services in patient records according to established guidelines.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience as an interpreter in a healthcare setting.
