We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Kiln Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation of kilns, draw systems, and conveyors.
Responsibilities
Starts and stops burners in the kiln following a prescribed procedure to maintain constant temperature.
Ensures the proper direction and flow of char through the system.
Stops leaks in the kiln using prescribed materials and performs minor repairs as needed.
Observes the operation of the furnace to detect conditions such as leaks, correct pressure, cleanliness, and even burning, and reports any malfunctions to the Foreman.
Maintains the operation of the draw system and conveyors to ensure proper functioning.
Requirements
1-2 years of experience working in an industrial setting.
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to regulate temperature in burners for maximum efficiency.
Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
