This position will contribute to providing timely & accurate information to assist with better business decision making throughout all levels of the company. This is a full-time position.

Staff Accountant Position
We are looking for an experienced staff accountant who has the ability to prioritize tasks and improve processes. A successful candidate will have a great work ethic and a broad understanding of accounting and reporting responsibilities. This position will contribute to providing timely & accurate information to assist with better business decision making throughout all levels of the company. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Financial reporting process improvement
- Implement & improve internal controls
- Financial statement analysis
- Month-end close process
- Reinsurance reporting & account reconciliations
- Implementation and testing of new insurance administration software
- Assist with the development of the annual operating plan (AOP) and assist department managers with understanding expense variances
- Answer inquiries from other departments, research issues, and problem solve
- Supports accounts payable & premium receivable function
- Day to day accounting operations
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- Process improvement, including internal controls
- Experience with Microsoft software systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with data and analyzing large data sets (large volume environment)
- Ability to work individually and as a team member
- Ability to demonstrate honesty and maintain confidentiality
- Accounting software experience & ability to test systems and procedures for accuracy
- Currently licensed CPA
- Big 4 public accounting experience
- Statutory accounting experience
- 2 years of auditing experience
- Microsoft Power Query
- Microsoft Power BI
- Microsoft SQL
