Bear Creek Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeping / Laundry Aide to join our Environmental Services team.
This role is critical to maintaining a clean, safe, and infection-controlled environment for our residents, families, and staff. Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or healthcare EVS setting is strongly preferred, but we will consider candidates from the hospitality industry with strong sanitation and housekeeping experience.
Position Summary
The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and laundry services in accordance with facility standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
This is a hands-on role that requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
Follow proper infection control procedures and chemical usage guidelines
Handle, sort, wash, dry, and distribute resident laundry
Maintain cleaning equipment and report maintenance concerns
Follow facility policies related to OSHA, CMS, and infection prevention standards
Properly label and store chemicals according to safety regulations
Work cooperatively with nursing and other departments to maintain a safe environment
Respond promptly to environmental service requests
Maintain professional, respectful interactions with residents and staff
Qualifications
Previous SNF or healthcare EVS experience strongly preferred
Hospitality housekeeping experience will be considered
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, dilution, safety protocols, and infection control procedures is required
Ability to work independently and maintain productivity standards
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
Reliable transportation and the ability to report to work on time
Attendance is critical — consistent, dependable presence required
Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug screening
