Bear Creek Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director with a strong background in skilled nursing facility (SNF) operations and Life Safety compliance.
This is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the building is fully compliant, safe, and survey-ready at all times. We are looking for someone who understands the complex regulatory environment of a healthcare facility, not general maintenance or residential work.

What You’ll Do
Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and equipment
- Ensure the facility is maintained in a safe, clean, and fully operational condition
- Manage preventative maintenance programs and work orders
Life Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain and manage the Life Safety Code (LSC) binder
- Ensure ongoing compliance with state, federal, and Life Safety regulations (CMS, AHCA)
- Prepare for and lead Life Safety surveys and inspections
- Conduct routine audits and correct deficiencies proactively
Emergency Preparedness & Safety
- Oversee fire safety systems, drills, and emergency preparedness plans
- Ensure compliance with all fire, safety, and disaster readiness requirements
Leadership & Oversight
- Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate vendors/contractors
- Manage departmental budgets, supplies, and inventory
- Partner with leadership to support overall facility operations
Qualifications (Required for Consideration)
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Director (or similar role) in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of Life Safety Code (LSC) regulations and survey process (required)
- Experience managing Life Safety compliance, inspections, and regulatory readiness
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
