Duties
- Lead and motivate the barista team to deliver outstanding coffee and food service, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Oversee daily café operations, including opening, closing, and ensuring cleanliness and safety protocols are followed
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Clover for accurate transactions, cash handling, and sales reporting
- Train new team members on food safety, food preparation, proper serving techniques, and POS procedures
- Ensure adherence to food handling regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with health standards
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; coordinate restocking as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and resolving any issues with professionalism
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation and food service operations
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Clover; strong cash handling skills
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle diverse guest needs gracefully
- Basic math skills for cashiering, retail math, and accurate transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper food preparation techniques
- Ability to multitask seamlessly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced café setting
