Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Engage with customers in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and build loyalty
- Operate POS systems toast POS and efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards across the café, including food preparation areas and serving stations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
- Assist in food handling and food preparation tasks to support overall café operations
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food industry with strong coffee knowledge and customer service skills
- Familiarity with POS system toast POS for sales processing and cash handling
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell beverages and food items confidently
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Effective communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members
