Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling practices during all stages of food preparation.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages to management.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while meeting sales goals.
- Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math tasks during transactions.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices related to food preparation and handling.
