Medical Biller $23 -26 per hour
About Us
We are an established orthopaedic practice with seven providers, and we're adding an experienced Medical Biller to our billing team.
Schedule: Full-time, on-site, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
What You'll Do
- Handle billing and coding for patient visits and procedures
- Collect outstanding account balances
- Follow up with insurance companies and patients on open accounts
- Submit authorizations through insurance websites and portals
- Keep current on payer requirements and policy changes
- Review EOBs and payer correspondence to identify zero-pays and underpayments
- Take collection actions and resolve complex accounts
- Prepare documentation to support collection actions
What You'll Bring
- 2 years of experience in medical accounts receivable
- Experience managing the full revenue cycle for a private medical practice
- Charge entry experience (required)
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
- Familiarity with insurance websites and authorization forms
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
