What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Beagle One Inc?
SUMMARY
The Driver is responsible for delivering products to customers, loading and unloading the product, keeping logs of their activities, and making sure vehicles are maintained in good working order. At times, Drivers will need to assist with production and installers fabricate and install awnings for residential, commercial, and industrial establishments.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Report any mechanical issues with company vehicles.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
- Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements following regulations.
- Drive vehicles with capacities under 3 tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations, such as railroad stations, plants, residences, offices, or industrial yards.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to the supervisor immediately.
- Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs.
- Installation of products by analyzing work orders.
- Document service, installation, and delivery actions by completing forms, logs, and records.
- Keep all equipment in good working condition.
- Maintain a good driving record.
- Knowing and complying with FMCSA and DOT laws and regulations.
- Must maintain a valid DOT medical card.
- Must pass DOT drug and alcohol testing.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Facility Manager or Director of Production.
