SUMMARY
The Production Operations Manager plays a hands-on leadership role, working with the Senior Facility Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate the work activities of the production and installation team. The Production Operations Manager will be involved in the daily operations, supporting staff, and resolving issues to ensure manufacturing runs smoothly and efficiently. The Production Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, meeting production goals, and ensuring on-time delivery.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Point of contact for day-to-day questions and issues within the facility.
- Collaborate with the Sales Department by reporting installation challenges to support continuous improvement and prevent recurring challenges.
- Oversee DOT functions and ensure compliance with regulations, schedule DOT annual inspections, and ensure all DOT drivers are properly trained.
- Manage fleet operations, including maintaining vehicle maintenance records and ensuring timely service.
- Oversee install teams, including conducting regular meetings to communicate the scope of the upcoming projects and expectations.
- Evaluate upcoming projects and installs
- Provide overview of upcoming delivery runs and maximize time and profitability through strategic planning.
- Prepare job packets, order equipment, produce hardware lists, schedule accommodations, and submit per diems and premium pay for the install teams.
- Research and implement best practices to minimize costs associated with packaging and crating of products.
- Ensure preventative maintenance on all equipment is completed in a timely manner, and complete repairs or schedule repairs as required.
- Order material as needed.
- Review and complete final quality inspections of all jobs leaving the facility.
- Ensure all items received are received into our inventory system.
- Provide oversight and manage inventory during inventory counts.
- Assist and implement safety measures for the facility, being actively involved in safety issues and protocols.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in supervision is preferred but not required.
