Position: Senior Data Engineer 

Duration: 6-month contract to hire 

Location: Remote

Interview Process: 

• 1st round: 30 minutes with HM
• 2nd round: 1 hour panel with HM 2 lead Data Engineers where they will also review a case study the candidate will create a presentation for prior to the interview (case study attached) 

Start Date: ASAP - wants to make a hiring decision in the next 2 weeks

Notes from Req Intake call: 

• Heavy GCP, python & Big Queary 
• Utilizing airflow for orchestration (this would be a nice to have) 
• Must have a strong foundation of python and SQL 
• MOST IMPORTANT is communication, they will communicating technical requirements and working cross functionally with business teams so must be able to communicate effectively 
• Data bricks is a plus 
• Azure is a plus 

Must Haves:

• 6 years of experience working with SQL and relational database management systems
• 4 years of experience in GCP
• 3 years of experience in Big Queary
• Programming and modifying code in languages like SQL, Python, and PySpark to support and implement GCP/Azure Cloud based services
• Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting data issues
• Hands-on experience with various performance improvement techniques
• Willingness to identify and implement process improvements, and best practices as well as ability to take ownership to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Plusses:

• Familiarity with  Databricks 
• Familiarity with Azure
• Healthcare industry experience
