Tax Manager
Overview
A growing investment and asset management organization is seeking a Tax Manager to support tax compliance, planning, and reporting across a complex portfolio of entities. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, and external advisors to ensure accurate filings, optimize tax strategies, and maintain compliance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships and corporate entities
* Oversee quarterly tax estimates, annual filings, and supporting workpapers
* Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to support tax compliance and reporting
* Review and deliver K-1s and maintain investor and partner tax information
* Support tax planning initiatives, transactions, and structuring to improve efficiency and minimize risk
* Maintain audit-ready documentation and support regulatory filings
* Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax matters
* Drive process improvements, documentation, and best practices across the tax function
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field; CPA required
* 5 years of tax experience, including public accounting experience
* Strong experience with partnership taxation; corporate tax knowledge a plus
* Exposure to state and local tax; international tax experience preferred
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
* Advanced Excel and tax research capabilities
