Tax Law Paralegal

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Tax Law Paralegal to support sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, trust administration, and fiduciary tax matters. This role is ideal for an experienced paralegal with significant estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax preparation experience, including Forms 706, 709, and 1041. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment with hybrid flexibility after an initial training period.

• Prepare federal estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns, including Forms 706, 709, and 1041, with related schedules, elections, deductions, and state filings.
• Review financial records, prior tax returns, valuations, and supporting documentation to assist attorneys with estate planning, tax compliance, and generation-skipping transfer tax analysis.
• Coordinate with clients, financial institutions, appraisers, advisors, banks, brokers, insurance companies, and other third parties to gather information and facilitate asset transfers.
• Assist with trust and estate administration matters, including routine probate pleadings, inventories, accountings, tax workpapers, and related documentation.
  
  

• Strong professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, advisors, attorneys, and internal team members.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, time management, and independent judgment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and related legal or tax technology, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking ability, and problem-solving skills, with flexibility to work overtime or travel as needed.
  
  

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax preparation required.
• Substantial experience preparing Forms 706, 709, and 1041 required.
• Experience in a law firm, accounting firm, or other professional services environment strongly preferred.
