Role Overview
- Manage federal, state, and local tax audits
- Handle IRS and state administrative appeals
- Draft petitions, motions, and briefs in U.S. Tax Court and federal district court
- Develop strategies for resolving civil tax disputes, including Offers in Compromise and penalty issues
- Advise individuals and businesses on complex income, payroll, and sales tax matters
- Support cases involving tax credits and incentives
Qualifications
- 5 years of tax controversy or tax litigation experience
- Strong command of federal tax procedure and Tax Court practice
- Experience engaging with IRS and state taxing authorities
- Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage matters independently while working closely with partners
- Practical, solution‑driven judgment
