Senior Accounting Consultant

Beacon Hill is currently staffing for several Senior Level Accounting Consulting Engagements across the New Jersey area. These roles include Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Interim Controller, Fractional Accounting and Finance opportunities - with both onsite and hybrid options available.

Responsibilities:
* Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
* Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
* Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports for leadership review.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management initiatives.
* Streamline accounting processes and implement system or procedural improvements.
* Collaborate with executive leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely financial deliverables.
* Provide interim leadership or support during transitions, system implementations, or staffing changes.
* Mentor junior accounting staff and establish best practices across accounting functions.
* Manage project-based or fractional engagements focused on stabilizing and improving financial operations.

Qualifications:
* Experience as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Controller within public or private accounting.
* Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, SAP, or Oracle.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
* Advanced Excel.
* Consulting or project-based accounting experience is highly preferred.
