What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Beacon Hill?
Position Summary:
- Manage general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting requests
- Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
- Support internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Investigate and resolve account variances and reconciliation discrepancies
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Experience preparing financial statements and management reporting packages
- ERP system experience required; NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions
- CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification highly preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
