About the Role
We are seeking an Events Specialist Lead to join a dynamic marketing and events team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on creating impactful experiences and managing complex projects from start to finish. You will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile events that engage clients, partners, and internal teams.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute event strategies that align with organizational goals
- Manage a portfolio of events including conferences, meetings, webinars, and special gatherings
- Oversee all logistics: venue selection, vendor negotiations, catering, AV setup, and accommodations
- Create detailed timelines, run-of-show documents, and contingency plans
- Coordinate speaker engagements and presentation materials
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide post-event financial analysis
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with marketing, communications, and IT teams
- Gather feedback and implement best practices for continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Event Planning, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 5 years of experience in event planning or corporate events
- Proven ability to manage large-scale events, both in-person and virtual
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in event management software (Cvent preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and Canva
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of financial services or similar industries is a plus
