HR Manager
We're searching for an experienced HR Manager who loves people just as much as they love process. You'll help shape the employee experience from a candidate's first interview through onboarding, career development, performance reviews, and beyond. Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Hiring
- Partner with department leaders to identify hiring needs
- Write compelling job postings that attract top talent
- Screen resumes and identify the strongest candidates
- Coordinate interviews and assist managers throughout the hiring process
- Conduct interviews, reference checks, and background screenings
- Help us hire not only for skill, but also for culture fit
Employee Onboarding
- Create an exceptional first-day experience
- Conduct office tours and introductions
- Coordinate welcome lunches
- Ensure workstations, technology, and training are ready before day one
- Manage onboarding paperwork and compliance
- Continuously improve the onboarding experience
Employee Experience & Retention
- Conduct 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month check-ins with new employees
- Facilitate Stay Interviews
- Coordinate annual performance reviews
- Support managers with coaching, accountability, and employee development
- Help identify training opportunities and career growth plans
- Build programs that improve engagement and retention
HR Operations
- Process payroll accurately and on time
- Manage PTO requests, balances, and reporting
- Administer benefits and maintain employee records
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices
- Handle employee offboarding, exit interviews, and separation documentation
- Maintain confidentiality in all employee matters
Culture & Leadership
- Be a trusted resource for employees and managers
- Help leadership navigate employee relations issues
- Organize employee appreciation initiatives and celebrations
- Promote our Core Values in everything you do
- Recommend improvements to HR systems, policies, and processes
Qualifications
Required
- 5 years of Human Resources experience (open to 3 1/2 yrs )
- Experience managing payroll and HR administration
- Experience recruiting, interviewing, and hiring
- Experience leading onboarding and employee engagement initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- High level of professionalism and discretion
- Ability to build trust while maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Experience with ADP payroll software
- Experience supporting organizations with 50 employees
- Experience in a law firm
