HR Business Partner, Law Firm - $150K-$160K - Washington, DC

This Human Resources position serves as a strategic business partner to key business groups within a leading law firm, providing guidance across employee relations, investigations, performance management, talent planning, and organizational effectiveness. The position offers the opportunity to build trusted partnerships with firm leadership while supporting highly visible client service and practice support teams in a flexible hybrid work environment.

About the Job:

• Serve as a strategic advisor and trusted consultant to assigned business groups, aligning people strategies with organizational objectives.
• Lead employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance management initiatives, and policy interpretation for designated client groups.
• Partner with leaders on talent and workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, compensation activities, and employee engagement efforts.
• Act as the primary HR point of contact for three business groups, providing responsive and practical business support.
• Build strong relationships with firm leaders and employees while supporting organizational change and enhancing the employee experience.

About You:

• 6 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner.
• Bachelor's degree required; PHR, SPHR, or SHRM certification preferred.
• Law firm experience with a demonstrated understanding of law firm structure, operations, and legal support roles is preferred.
• Strong background in employee relations, performance management, compensation, and organizational consulting.
• Quick learner who is proactive, resilient, and able to navigate challenging situations with professionalism and sound judgment.

About the Position:

• Salary Range: $150,000-$160,000.
• Comprehensive and generous benefits package.
• Schedule: Hybrid role with 3 days per week on-site in Washington, DC.
• Hours: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM.
