Our client, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and account reconciliation activities. This role requires a self-directed professional who can manage priorities independently, improve processes, and help maintain accurate financial records in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting and month-end close activities.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and financial reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with reporting, analysis, and other accounting-related projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support financial operations.
- 3 years of accounting experience; Senior Accountant experience preferred.
- Nonprofit accounting experience required; higher education experience preferred.
- Experience with AI-enabled tools and technology platforms preferred.
- Public accounting or bookkeeping experience is a plus.
