Job Summary
Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing and compliance for our organization. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for leading a team of four payroll administrators, ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution, managing payroll taxes, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process, manage and oversee the payroll function, including bi-weekly payroll processing for parent company, sister companies in 45 states, plus affiliates in Canada.
- Build and manage data feeds between ADP and vendor systems to ensure information is flowing accurately between systems.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of payroll staff members, ensuring high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Review and audit payroll reports, reconciliations, and transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain payroll records in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Process amendments and year-end documents (e.g., W-2s).
- Collaborate with HR, benefit, and accounting departments to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Lead system upgrades, implementations, and improvements for payroll software and processes.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Setup new reporting locations in ADP as new branches open and notify Benefits of the same.
- Provide reports and information to the accounting department and corporate auditors upon request while ensuring confidentiality.
