What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Coordinator position at BEACON BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT SERVICES?
NeuroPsych Wellness in Fairfax, VA is looking to add a Full Time Intake Coordinator to our team.
Key Duties Include:
- Answer client calls in a warm, professional, and respectful manner
- Create patient medical record using the practice’s scheduling software capturing all required information
- Knowledgeable on provider scheduling requirements, patient population seen, and insurances accepted
- Schedule first time patient appointment(s)
- Upload any paperwork returned from new patients
- Verify patient’s insurance is in-network with the practice and obtain a copy for the record
- Schedule existing patients for new line of business (therapy) appointments
- Schedule, confirm, and manage client appointments using the practice’s scheduling software
- Respond, appropriately, to patient inquiries
- Collect copays and balances accurately
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, billing staff and other team members
- Support administrative tasks such as filing and handling correspondence, as needed
- Take incoming and make outgoing calls as needed
- Transcribe medication refill requests
- Verify the integrity and completeness of patient medical records and demographic information
- Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- All other duties as assigned
Position - Must be able sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: 1 year healthcare experience or 3 years of client facing concierge-equivalent customer service in lieu of healthcare
