Job Summary
The Commission Shoe Sales Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while driving personal and department sales through expert product knowledge and personalized fitting assistance. This role is primarily sales-focused, with occasional responsibilities in visual merchandising and stock presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively engage customers to understand their footwear needs and preferences, providing tailored product recommendations.
- Consistently meet or exceed individual and department sales goals through strong client relationship-building and conversion.
- Maintain deep knowledge of current product lines, trends, and brand offerings across men’s, women’s, and/or children’s footwear.
- Ensure an outstanding shopping experience by offering professional fitting services and styling advice.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the store’s POS system.
- Maintain and organize the sales floor and stock areas; assist with merchandising tasks such as product displays, markdowns, and inventory replenishment when needed.
- Build client loyalty through follow-up communication, clienteling, and repeat business.
- Work collaboratively with team members and management to achieve store performance goals.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in retail sales, preferably in footwear or fashion retail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to thrive in a commission-driven environment.
- Basic computer and POS system proficiency.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
