Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and well-maintained, contributing to the overall comfort and satisfaction of our clients or residents. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will be essential in creating a hygienic space that meets high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across residential, commercial, or hospitality environments, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health standards and safety regulations.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely.
• Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as required.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or equipment while adhering to proper safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and specialized floor care techniques.
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and provide exceptional customer service.
• Follow established janitorial or custodial procedures to ensure all surfaces are sanitized and free of dust or debris.
• Manage time effectively to complete daily cleaning schedules within designated timeframes.
• Assist with outdoor work when necessary, such as trash collection or outdoor surface cleaning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or housekeeping roles; hotel or commercial cleaning experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Familiarity with various cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and mops.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients or team members effectively.
• Experience in residential housekeeping or hospitality environments is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors when needed and adapt to different work environments.
