Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential and short-term rentals, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work as needed
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and cleaning equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded
• Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and specialized floor care techniques
• Use manual handling techniques safely when lifting heavy objects or moving furniture to prevent injury
• Ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to health guidelines while paying attention to detail in high-touch areas
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service
• Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within designated schedules while maintaining high-quality standards

Experience

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in residential or commercial settings is preferred
• Experience with hotel housekeeping or residential cleaning enhances your ability to deliver exceptional service
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and sanitation tools is advantageous
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents and disinfectants along with proper usage techniques is essential
• Outdoor work experience can be beneficial for maintaining exterior spaces or outdoor furniture
• Strong time management skills combined with the ability to handle heavy lifting safely are important for success in this role
• Excellent client communication skills help foster positive relationships with residents and customers
