Position Overview
Be Well Memory & Infusion is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Pharmacy Technician to support sterile medication preparation within our concierge-style infusion clinic.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely preparation of infusion therapies supporting cognitive health and neurological care. The Pharmacy Technician will collaborate closely with providers and nursing staff to maintain the highest standards of medication, safety and patient care.
This position is ideal for a technician experienced in sterile compounding who thrives in a structured, patient-focused clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sterile Compounding & Medication Preparation
- Prepare and compound sterile IV medications in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Perform accurate dose calculations, dilutions, and medication reconstitution
- Verify infusion orders for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate dosing prior to preparation
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and chain-of-custody procedures
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain adherence to Nebraska pharmacy regulations and applicable federal standards
- Follow USP guidelines and clinic-specific sterile compounding protocols
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications
- Monitor medication expiration dates and inventory integrity
Clinical Collaboration & Operations
- Collaborate with nursing and provider teams to support safe infusion administration
- Communicate clearly regarding medication preparation timelines and questions
- Assist with medication inventory management and restocking
- Maintain a clean and organized compounding workspace
- Support clinic workflow during infusion days
Required
- Active Nebraska Pharmacy Technician registration
- Strong medication calculation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow structured protocols and safety standards
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently within a collaborative clinical team
Preferred
- Experience in sterile compounding (USP <797> familiarity preferred)
- Experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings
- National certification (CPhT)
- Experience in concierge or specialty clinical environments
Physical & Technical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity sufficient for sterile compounding procedures
- Ability to lift and move medication supplies as needed
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-facing clinical setting
