Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Melter/Pourer to join our manufacturing team. Candidates must have experience meltinng and pouring molten metal in a foundry environment. As a vital member of our production process, the Melter will be responsible for operating and maintaining melting equipment to transform raw materials into liquid form and pouring molds. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision, safety, and efficiency are paramount. Duties
- Operate melting equipment such as furnaces and crucibles to ensure consistent and safe melting processes
- Monitor temperature controls, thermocouples, and other instrumentation to maintain optimal melting conditions
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on melting machinery to prevent downtime and ensure safety standards are met
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and process specifications related to melting operations
- Maintain accurate records of melt batch data, equipment logs, safety checks, and inspection reports
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating industrial melting equipment or similar manufacturing machinery
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and basic math for precise measurements and calculations
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement in machining.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
