A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Law Associate Attorney with 8 years of experience to join its Portland, Oregon office. This role focuses on management-side employment counseling, offering strategic advice to employers on a wide range of workplace issues and compliance matters.
This Portland legal job provides the opportunity to work closely with businesses and HR professionals, helping them navigate complex employment laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities
• Provide management-side employment advice on compliance and workplace matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and manage e-discovery processes
• Conduct depositions and present oral arguments in employment-related disputes
• Draft, update, and revise employee handbooks and workplace policies
• Respond to state and federal administrative charges on behalf of employers
• Advise HR professionals on regulatory compliance and risk management
• Handle a variety of employment law cases, including counseling and litigation support
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on complex matters

Qualifications
• 8 years of experience as an Employment Law Attorney or Management-Side Employment Attorney
• Strong background in employment counseling and compliance
• Oregon Bar required
• Experience at a mid-sized or large law firm preferred
• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage complex legal issues independently
• Strong interpersonal skills and client-focused mindset
