What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Litigation Associate Attorney position at Southwest Portland Law Group, LLC?
Southwest Portland Law Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our growing litigation practice.
We are looking for a motivated attorney who is comfortable managing cases with a high degree of independence. The ideal candidate will have several years of litigation experience and be capable of taking ownership of matters from early case strategy through resolution.
We are particularly interested in expanding our practice and seeking candidates who bring experience in complementary areas such as commercial litigation, employment law, disability insurance claims, or other litigation-focused practice areas. We are excited to support attorneys who want to help expand the firm’s expertise and develop additional practice areas.
This role offers meaningful responsibility and direct client interaction. You will have an opportunity to regularly appear in court, manage your own caseloads, handle depositions, draft dispositive motions, and see your hard work lead to results for your clients. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, communicates well with clients, and enjoys building a thoughtful litigation strategy.

Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in Oregon
- 5 years of litigation experience preferred
- Ability to independently manage cases and client relationships
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
