Job Overview

A law firm seeks a driven Senior Attorney to join their team in Tampa, FL. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney eager to support regulatory matters for healthcare clients and be part of a collaborative business practice group.

Duties

• Draft, review, and analyze contracts, policies, and legal documents to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Counsel healthcare providers on federal and state regulatory compliance matters and operational issues.
• Assist with licensure, certification, enrollment, and complex healthcare transactions and provider arrangements.
• Advise on HIPAA, reimbursement, long-term care, and healthcare employment matters while monitoring regulatory developments.
• Represent clients in audits, investigations, appeals, and administrative proceedings, including preparing COPN applications.
• Conduct legal research, draft client guidance, and work directly with government agencies to resolve complex regulatory issues.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership (or eligibility) in the FL Bar.
• 14 years of experience in a regulatory, business, or transactional area of law required.
• Strong interest in healthcare law encouraged, with a commitment to providing practical, business-minded solutions.
• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership (or eligibility) in the FL Bar.
