Pay Range: $55/hr to $60/hr on W2

Purpose of the Team:
At World’s Edge, we’re hard at work delivering on the continued legacy of the AGE OF EMPIRES franchise. We’re a passionate group responsible for growing a piece of gaming history, and we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager / Producer to partner with our Executive Producer in managing day-to-day production and workflow for various projects within the studio. Our ideal candidate is: detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; capable of tracking and communicating complex work items across multiple projects; a great communicator and biased toward an inclusive work environment, and someone who cares deeply about delivering the best possible gaming experience for the fans.
In this role, you are a key contributor between internal and external teams across a wide variety of functions and subject matter expertise. You’ll have direct influence and responsibility for the quality and outcomes of feature development, product publishing efforts, and important partnership
· Key projects:
→ he day-to-day tasks will vary depending on project needs, but key responsibilities include:
→ Identifying, communicating, tracking, and reporting on the individual tasks & work items assigned to you
→ Coordinating across teams to deliver quality on-time, related to features, content, events, testing, localization, product extensions, and user engagement
→ Review and provide informed feedback on development schedules and roadmaps
→ Collaborate with our internal and external teams to remove blockers and ensure pathways to product development and release goals
→ Communicate status and updates on critical work items to key stakeholders regularly
→ Actively unblock work flows by utilizing existing solutions and/or implementing new tools or processes
→ Providing flexible assistance for other Producers as needed
Candidate Requirements
· Disqualifiers:
□ No prior gaming production experience (candidate must have hands‑on experience working on PC and/or console video games).
□ Has not spent the majority of their recent experience as a Producer / Project Manager in games (general tech PM experience alone is not sufficient).
□ Unable to commit to the full 18‑month assignment duration.
□ Not located within reasonable proximity to the Puget Sound / Redmond area or unable to come onsite
The ideal candidate will also possess:
• First-hand knowledge of the AGE OF EMPIRES franchise
• Experience with Games-as-a-Service and operating a live product
• PC technical knowledge & PC gaming experience
• Scrum Certification as a Scrum Master or Product Owner
• Familiarity with C#, C , or other programming languages and basic engineering concepts
• Ability to provide additional perspective to our teams to help improve the overall franchise
Qualifications
• 5 years’ experience in Project Management in PC and/or Console video games
• At least two (2) shipped games on PC or Console with a verifiable Producer role credit
• Proactive team member that can identify gaps and product needs without being prompted
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills that contribute to documenting a plan and helping others accomplish their goals
• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
• Constant drive to learn and adapt to ever-changing surroundings and gaming trends
• Passion for and understanding of gaming and gaming culture
• Self-starter with the ability to work flexing hours as your project demands
• Experience working in a distributed team and comfortable with remote team support
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Teams, Microsoft Office, and other project management tools
Top 3 Must-Have HARD Skills & years of experience for each:
- Strength and skill in organizing and leading meetings, including tracking and managing follow through of necessary outcomes (5 years)
- Use of project management tools, especially ADO, to track work, create dashboards and easily communicate and visualize project state (5 years)
- Producing clear and readable reports appropriate across a variety of altitudes from teammates to Leadership (5 years)
