What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Administrator position at BCforward?
Primary Skill -Oracle - Cassandra and No SQL database experience is a must.
Required Qualifications
• Position requires strong Oracle database skills
• Able to troubleshoot and tune SQL performance issues
• Experience with Cassandra/CQL/DataStax tools
• Firm understanding of the core concepts of Cassandra and able to assist with troubleshooting problems
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication technology
• Experience with IBM’s DataStage a plus
• Experience with the development models such as Agile and SDLC
• Experience in data management best practices
• Some Project management skills required
• Knowledge and experience with performance tuning SQL
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn both new and aging technologies as needed
• Detail orientated
Desired Qualifications
• Experience working in an Agile team
• NDM (ConnectDirect) and OpenSSH familiarity
• Autosys and DataStage experience desired
