- Lead partnership development, new market opportunity development
- Review existing solutions to identify proposition gaps by country/ product / solution
- Create roadmap to improve/implement new partners and/or solutions; prioritizing Middle East and other markets that align to commercial opportunity
- Reevaluate current cross-compliant (aka local insurer product) solutions and revamp and/or modify in order to better meet client expectations
- Assume business leadership of regulated market solutions process improvement project, act as sponsor, for programs currently in place (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia).
- Ensure new solutions (Qatar, Oman) are integrated into governance processes and maintain an ongoing focus on process improvement, and improving both customer experience and competitive position
- Work with different BCBS GS departments to ensure continuous process improvement to increase efficiency and financial outcomes and to enhance member experience for clients needing locally compliant solutions.
- Develop a roadmap to prioritize and implement enhancements, partnering with PMO, Operations, Chief Strategy Officer, Commercial teams, etc. to lead change efforts
- Relationship lead for current and prospective network partners (Bupa Global, Bupa Arabia, and other related party vendors supporting the solution)
- Primary focus is Middle East region (UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain); but global focus (Australia, Netherlands, Brazil, etc.) as market needs develop.
- Establish/maintain program governance that includes routine review and tracking of program performance, SLA’s, identifying other metrics to ensure customer, financial, compliance objectives are being met.
- Engage other internal and external functions to ensure solutions are delivering customer and competitive market needs; including commercial, product, service, global healthcare, legal and compliance, finance, etc.
- Partner with global service team and client management team to support the development of effective problem resolution processes to maintain high standard of delivery.
- Ensure comprehensive training and communications in place to maintain organization awareness of programs and solutions in place; partner with other functions (product, client management, etc.)
- Work with Compliance team and outside counsel to investigate complex compliance issues as needed.
- Leverage broad based knowledge of globally mobile healthcare segment, network knowledge, local market solutions to support strategic projects
- Identify opportunities to support growth strategy leveraging local market solutions, competitor insights, changes in markets, etc.
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree preferred; or commensurate work experience.
- 5-10 years international insurance experience.
- Outgoing personality.
- Ability to work effectively with international providers, partners and internal staff.
- Extremely detail oriented.
- Substantial international travel or expatriate experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of world geography.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages preferred.
- Familiarity with assistance and security functions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft office, especially Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and SharePoint a plus.
- Local resident and certified eligibility to work in-country (Dubai/UAE) REQUIRED **
