Accounting Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable General Accounting Assistant to join our client's team. This role supports the Controller across a range of accounting functions in a construction environment. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, thrives in a varied workload, and is eager to continue learning on the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable data entry and processing
- Support prevailing wage payroll functions
- Maintain compliance with DOT requirements
- Utilize LCP Tracker for certified payroll and compliance reporting
- Assist with construction accounting tasks as directed by the Controller
- Handle general data entry with a high degree of accuracy
- Take on additional accounting and administrative tasks as the role evolves
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in construction accounting
- Proficiency in AP/AR data entry
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly to shifting priorities
- Upbeat, team-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LCP Tracker
- Prevailing wage payroll experience
- Familiarity with DOT compliance requirements
