Family owned company in Westchester is looking for FT Accountant/Bookkeeper. Great opportunity for anyone returning to the workforce or recent grad.
Required Qualification:
- Must be a team player and have the ability to work independently
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Must be a good listener and willing to learn
- Must be detail oriented
- Experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate
- Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge a plus
Main Responsibilities:
- Must be able to review General Ledger Accounts and Income Statements on a monthly basis and make journal entries accordingly.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements, credit card & 3rd party delivery transactions.
- Prepare month-end accruals.
- Entering Accounts Payables as needed.
- Investigate and process regularly, Unemployment, Workers Compensation, & Disability Claims, in a timely manner.
- Process & reconcile weekly Payroll for multiple locations.
- Willing to take on Special Projects as needed.
