Brands & Licensing is responsible for developing and deepening fan engagement to commercialize our IP content. This includes exploring digital growth opportunities for the business, looking at innovative licensing models and driving value from BBC Studios' world-famous brands such as Doctor Who, Bluey, Top Gear, Strictly Come Dancing/Dancing With The Stars and BBC Earth. We run global businesses from live events to merchandise through to music and magazine publishing. We are right at the heart of helping BBC Studios identify opportunities for growth and future proof its success through scaling digital business models such as social media monetization and gaming through our new business division to identify the business models of the future. On top of that we are the center of global data and do world class marketing to ensure BBC Studios brands generate fame globally.

Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Global Commercial Partnerships Director to lead the development and execution of high-impact brand partnerships that drive revenue, expand market reach, and enhance brand value. This role will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic alliances across various industries while coordinating efforts with other external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $160k 15% bonus. This does not include other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.

Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Global Commercial Partnerships Director to lead the development and execution of high-impact brand partnerships that drive revenue, expand market reach, and enhance brand value. This role will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic alliances across various industries while coordinating efforts with other external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Develop a strategy for leveraging high-yield promotional brand partnerships across a multitude of relevant categories tied to the core values of our IP.
- Identify aspirational brand partners, including high-end fashion collaborators that surprise and delight while keeping brand equity high
- Create compelling marketing campaigns that authentically extend BBCS’ brands and cater to those fandoms
- Lead negotiations and structure deals that enhance brand equity, drive revenue and meet other KPIs including brand awareness measures.
- Collaborate with licensing, marketing, digital, social ad sales, creative, regional partnerships teams, legal teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of partnerships.
- Manage ongoing partner relationships, including performance tracking, renewals, and expansion opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new partnership opportunities and stay ahead of market shifts.
- Represent the company at entertainment trade shows, brand summits, and partner events.
- Coordinate efforts with external stakeholders ensuring strategic alignment and avoiding conflict.
- Expertise and knowledge of industry trends and emerging platforms and technologies
- Commercial acumen combined with strategic thinking and complex problem solving
- Proven ability to create and scale new businesses and drive growth plans
- Demonstrable record of achieving new business revenue targets
- Strong communication skills to influence & network externally and internally
- Ability to negotiate desired outcomes with partners, while maintaining close working relationships
