As our Guest Services Supervisor, you will be an active contributor over all areas of the water park guest services area which includes: ticket window, bag check, gate access, in-park guest services, in-park point of sales stations as well as birthday parties. This leadership role is critical in executing on business requirements, supporting the guest services team, and interacting with guest and employees to enhance their experience and maximize profitability.

Job Duties

  • Supervise daily guest service areas to ensure successful execution of all park safety and service standards and completion of daily tasks and assignments
  • Ensures daily success of park standards and operational efficiencies
  • Provides coaching, encouragement, and recognition to assigned employees regularly
  • Understands and champion water park policies and procedures while collaborating with other departments and park leaders to ensure daily success.
  • Responds to questions or guest concerns and escalates employee feedback to park leadership as appropriate
  • Ensures the completion and proper communication/escalation of guest requests and other concerns to the appropriate department
  • Assist with scheduling of staff and ensuring daily coverage of all guest service areas are met.
  • Conducts pre-opening huddles with the guest service team to prioritize the day while welcoming employee feedback.
  • Monitors employee performance in real time while providing timely coaching and encouragement.
  • Ensure all guest service areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked for the daily operations
  • Ensure safety standards are met
  • Participate in recruitment and selection of talent for the guest service team
  • Participates with the General Manager in employee performance management including; employee reviews, corrective action, investigations, conflict resolution, injury reporting, etc.

Skills and Abilities

  • Problem Solving Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information efficiently; and develop alternative solutions when needed.
  • Technical Skills Be cognoscente of surroundings and able to respond immediately to emergency situations by applying first aid knowledge obtained during training.
  • Communication Greet each and every guest in a warm and inviting manor; complete all supporting documentation in a clear and concise fashion; and able to read and interpret information quickly.
  • Planning/ Organizing Keep assigned work area clean and orderly at all times; fill downtime with appropriate tasks; and work in an efficient manor.
  • Quality Control Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; look for ways to improve and promote quality; and able to monitor own work for quality assurance.
  • Dependability Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; complete task on time or notifies supervisor with an alternate plan and timeline; consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift; and ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.

Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For

  • Must be 17 years of age or older 
  • Ability to reach, sit, bend & walk for long-periods of time while able to move around the work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors in various weather & temperature conditions.
  • Friendly, responsible, and attentive demeanor.
  • Detail oriented with a high focus on ethical discretion involving financial standards
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
