As a member of the Guest Services Crew, you may be assigned and responsible for one of several key areas of water park operations (Outlined Below). Crew members are responsible for providing a positive first impression with each guest when they arrive. All crew members must remain knowledgeable on ticket prices, current specials, upcoming events, monetary safeguards, and utilize this information to up-sell or encourage guests to visit again.

Key Water Park Areas

Minimum Age ~ 15 | Ticket Window, Bag Check, Gate Access, Retail, Food & Beverage (Non-Alcoholic), In-Park Guest Services, Birthday Host

Minimum Age ~ 16 | Ride Attendant Dispatch Support

Minimum Age ~ 18 | Cabana Host or Food & Beverage (Alcohol)

Job Duties

  • Maintain a polite and friendly demeanor while working and greeting each guest with a smile.
  • Offer guests the best value possible and inform guests of special upcoming events.
  • Count and verify starting cash and assure that enough change is on hand throughout the day.
  • Count and verify monies at the start and end of shift while adhering to all monetary procedures with accuracy.
  • Know and respond to questions regarding product and pricing.
  • Inspect guests bags and/or coolers at the gate and ensure belongings comply with park policies
  • Accept and verify tickets at the point of entry to the park.
  • Take retail and/or food & beverage orders at assigned point of sale stations
  • Engage birthday party and/or cabana rental guests and ensure their experience is meeting expectation
  • Resolve customer complaints by using good, sound judgement or by requesting assistance from the department leaders as needed.
  • Keep work area clean and free from all food, beverages, merchandise, spills, and trash.
  • Always maintain a close proximity to cash register and avoid all forms of possible theft.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Problem Solving Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information efficiently; and develop alternative solutions when needed.
  • Mathematic Ability Utilize basic arithmetic (Add, Subtract, Divide, and Multiply)
  • Technical Skills Properly handle a cash register and its functions after training.
  • Communication Greet each and every guest in a warm and inviting manor; complete all supporting documentation in a clear and concise fashion; and able to read and interpret information quickly.
  • Planning/ Organizing Keep assigned work area clean and organized at all times; file appropriate documentation and be able to furnish information on request; fill downtime with appropriate tasks; and work in an efficient manor.
  • Quality Control Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; look for ways to improve and promote quality; and be able to monitor own work for quality assurance.
  • Dependability Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time; consistently on time for scheduled shift; and ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.

Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For

  • Must be 15 years of age or older
  • Ability to reach, sit, bend & walk for long-periods of time while able to move around the work environment.
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors in various weather & temperature conditions.
  • Friendly, responsible, and attentive demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented with a high focus on ethical discretion involving financial standards
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
