Duties
- Load, unload, and move products using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are correctly merchandised and accessible for customers
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, inspecting goods, and organizing stock in designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of the store areas through routine cleaning, organizing storage spaces, and ensuring safety standards are met
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of merchandise while following safety protocols to prevent injury
Qualifications
- Previous experience or retail store experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all operational procedures
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for stock accuracy and store presentation
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer needs
- Basic math skills for counting stock, processing transactions, and managing inventory data accurately
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and safe lifting practices
- Knowledge of retail product categories such as produce or grocery items is beneficial but not mandatory
