This position plays a critical role in ensuring residents recieve meals that support their health and well-being.
Key Responsbilites:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the preparation and service of meals in accordance with physician orders, resident preferences, and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure meals meet nutritional standards and are served in a timely and appealing manner.
- Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff, promoting a positive and efficient work environment.
- Manager food and supply inventory, ordering as needed while staying within budget.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including sanitation, food handling, and documentation requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of food service areas to ensure cleanliness and quality.
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to accomodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of clinical nutrition, menu planning, and regulatory requirements.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification preferred.
