Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a PRN Cook to join the team with a paid out over a year.
The ideal candidate for this position has previous cooking experience in a skilled nursing facility, enjoys working in a busy environment, and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. Under the direct supervision of the Dietary Manager, the Cook will prepare, season and cook food for residents, staff, and visitors.

Shift/Hours:
- PRN
- Hourly
- Requires 16 hours minimum worked a month with 8 of those hours being on a weekend.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate food inventories
- Prepare the food for residents, staff and visitors
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures
- Assist in clean up, kitchen maintenance and setting up and taking down of dining areas as needed.
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
- Cook/Dietary Aide: 1 Year
- Long Term Care Dietary experience
- Able to read and follow standardized recipes
- Serve Safe Certification preferred
- Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
