Location Salt Lake City, UT (Hybrid 3 days/week onsite)
Duration 6 months contract (will extend)
Max Pay Rate - $70-71/hr. on w2
We are seeking a senior .NET / C# / WPF Software Engineer with strong experience in desktop application development and a solid testing mindset. This role requires hands-on coding, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications using .NET, C#, and WPF
- Build and consume REST/SOAP APIs (JSON/XML)
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments
- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality, defect-free applications
- Identify and create positive and negative test cases from user stories
- Troubleshoot and debug applications, performing both functional and non-functional testing
- Work closely with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience with .NET, C#, and WPF (desktop applications)
- Strong experience with SQL development
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation
- Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Experience consuming REST and SOAP web services
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience migrating from UFT or other legacy testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with scripting (e.g., VBScript)
- Exposure to modern UI frameworks like React
- Certified Application Developer
