Job Title Software Engineer IV (.NET / C# / WPF)

Location Salt Lake City, UT (Hybrid 3 days/week onsite)

Duration 6 months contract (will extend)

Max Pay Rate - $70-71/hr. on w2

We are seeking a senior .NET / C# / WPF Software Engineer with strong experience in desktop application development and a solid testing mindset. This role requires hands-on coding, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications using .NET, C#, and WPF
• Build and consume REST/SOAP APIs (JSON/XML)
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality, defect-free applications
• Identify and create positive and negative test cases from user stories
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, performing both functional and non-functional testing
• Work closely with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives
  
  

Required Skills:

• 5 years of experience with .NET, C#, and WPF (desktop applications)
• Strong experience with SQL development
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation
• Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Experience consuming REST and SOAP web services
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience migrating from UFT or other legacy testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with scripting (e.g., VBScript)
• Exposure to modern UI frameworks like React
• Certified Application Developer
