What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Room Attendant position at Baymont Glenwood?
We are looking for a dependable Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms so they are clean, comfortable, and ready for arriving guests.
Responsibilities
- Clean and reset guest rooms according to hotel standards
- Make beds and change linens
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces
- Replace towels, toiletries, and room supplies
- Remove trash and used linens
- Report maintenance issues or damaged items
- Keep housekeeping carts and work areas clean and organized
- Complete assigned rooms within the scheduled shift
- Follow hotel cleaning and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Dependable and able to arrive to scheduled shifts on time
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and stay on task
- Comfortable with a physically active job, including bending, lifting, pushing a housekeeping cart, and being on your feet throughout the shift
- Able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Previous housekeeping experience is helpful, but not required
