Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and electrical equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Perform maintenance tasks including appliance repair, equipment repair, and general mechanical servicing to ensure all systems operate efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems accurately.
- Repair or replace faulty components in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to maintain optimal climate control.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects by supporting installation and maintenance of new equipment or infrastructure.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or upgrades to ensure safety standards are met.
- Document all maintenance activities thoroughly, including inspections, repairs, parts used, and system performance reports.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Technician in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems effectively.
- Familiarity with construction practices related to facility maintenance or upgrades is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with contractors during projects.
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems and HVAC technology is essential for this role.
- Previous experience working with electrical systems and performing routine repairs is highly valued.
