What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook - Part Time position at Bayfield County?
Serve as food service assistant for the Bayfield County Jail. Prepare food for inmates. This position will be scheduled 20 hours per week. Some weekends and holidays will be required.a. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage areas and walk-in coolers.
b. Prepare meals as identified by the menu plan and for the special needs inmate population.
c. Maintain records of kitchen operations.
d. Assist Lead Cook in ordering food service supplies from vendors. Maintain adequate supply level.High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Three or more years experience in food service.
Preferable experience in quantity food service for large groups.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift mild to moderate loads, up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time, while preparing food.Knowledgeable in quantity food preparation.
Ability to effectively work with Sheriff's Department Management and Lead Cook for the efficient operation of the jail food service.
Must have strong organizational skills.
