JOB Under general supervision and direction from the Criminal Justice Coordinator, the Treatment Court Case Manager is assigned responsibilities involving the identification and provision of services, and the tracking and monitoring of program participants to ensure compliance with their service plans and court ordered terms. Responsibilities also include working closely with partner agencies to ensure program participants are engaged in and supported by services that may include employment-readiness training, education, housing, treatment, and other services. The Treatment Court Case Manager will play a key role in supporting the enhancement and expansion of Bayfield County’s Treatment Court, Pre-Charge Diversion, and County Supervision programs. These enhancements will involve consistent data monitoring and evaluation to enhance the Criminal Justice Office’s capacity to identify and address the needs of individuals involved in the criminal justice systems, pre- and post-disposition. Treatment Court Case Managers will work directly on the implementation of evidence-based practices designed to reduce recidivism. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES A. The Treatment Court case manager will provide continual oversight of clients and prepare individual progress reports for the Bayfield County Circuit Court.
B. The case manager will also work in the field and administer drug and alcohol screens to document compliance or non-compliance of program participants.
C. The Treatment Court case manager is responsible for grant administration and fulfilling data reporting requirements.
D. Work cooperatively with court system personnel (Circuit Court Judge, Tribal Judge, District Attorney, Veterans Service Officer, Victim/Witness Coordinator, victim advocacy agencies, Human Services, Public Defender, local defense bar, Sheriff, local law enforcement, Department of Corrections, Criminal Justice Coordinator and others).
E. Meet with jail inmates to determine re-entry needs. Coordinate collateral contacts within the community to address re-entry needs of clients. Attend community meetings and report to team on progress. Compile data specific to the re-entry project. Develop policy and procedure manual.
F. Field activities may include:
1) Traveling to client's residence, work or a public place for purposes of documenting compliance with court agreements.
2) Drug and/or alcohol testing of participants will be required.
3) Attendance at meetings and trainings in Bayfield County and outlying areas.

  • Vocational guidance to available educational systems;

  • Efficiently manage time and prioritize multiple tasks;
  • Use computer systems proficiently in Word, Excel Microsoft Copilot, and Outlook.
  • Flexibility to learn and help integrate a new data tracking system for monitoring program trends.
