What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Scanning Assistant position at Bayfield County Coffee Co?
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The purpose of this position is to scan physical
files, input metadata associated with the files and store electronic
copies in appropriate locations. It will also involve filing/disposing
of physical documents as directed. This is a full-time, temporary
position scheduled 40 hours per week, June through August. Examples of
Duties The following duties are expected of this position. These are not
to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be
required and assigned by the Behavioral Health Programs Manager. Works
with Office Manager to determine documentation to scan. Removes physical
files from file folders. Prepares documents for scanning by removing
paperclips, staples, etc. Takes documents to scanning machine, makes
correct selections on keyboard interface, and scans documents to
appropriate electronic location. Retrieves electronic documents, renames
documents as necessary, and stores them in correct electronic record
format and location. Process files through the Laserfiche work flow,
assigning appropriate data labels. Input metadata into various software
programs associated with the electronic file. Reports progress to Office
Manager and makes any necessary corrections. Files or disposes of
physical documents as directed by Office Manager. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with scanning and computer
equipment to be used for this project. Familiarity with working with
electronic records systems Familiarity with Database and Laserfiche
Software preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for
extended periods of time while performing duties. Light lifting of up to
